There are different documents for rail, air, sea. For example, ATC certificate is given for airline. The ADR regulation has been revised 3 times since its effective date. The latest version is ADR 2003. It entered into force on 1 January 2003. The last accepted version of the regulation was published under the name ECE/TRANS/160 and consists of two volumes.
Currently, there are 43 countries that have accepted and put into effect this regulation. Among 43 countries, there are Germany, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Netherlands, England and Northern Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Cyprus, Romania and many more countries. The regulation is not yet in force in Turkey.
What is ADR Transport?
ADR is the regulation on international road transport of dangerous goods. It was published by the Nations Economic Commission for Europe on 30 September 1957 and entered into force on 29 January 1968.
The purpose of ADR legislation is to facilitate the safe and orderly transportation of dangerous goods on public roads without harming human health, other living beings and the environment.
